ST. LOUIS, Missouri–St. Louis is set to receive a Major League Soccer team in 2022. This comes after an announcement made by Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber on Tuesday, officially announcing that MLS has awarded an expansion team to the city. The owners will include the Enterprise Holdings Foundation president Carolyn Kindle Betz and six other female members of the Taylor family, making it the first female majority-owned club in MLS history.
